Jewson Suffer Data hack!

Jewson has shut down it’s online sales operations after revealing that the records of almost 1,800 may have been stolen by hackers.
The data breach was caused by malicious code placed on their network, and the data of clients who used the service between  23 August and 3 November 2017 could have been taken.

Jewson sent a warning of the data breach in a letter sent to customers on Friday, They wrote: ‘As a Jewson Direct customers, we regrettably are writing to inform you that our website (www.jewsondirect.co.uk) has suffered a security breach and, as a result, your personal data including your credit/ debit card details may have been compromised.’

The details taken are thought to include the customer names, billing address, password, email addresses, phone number, payment details, card expiry dates and CVV numbers,
The ICO was notified and is making enquiries.
